Charter

We fish out of Kodiak harbor, dock A slip 26. The boat you will fish on is the beautiful Okeah’s Toy
(aka “Ocean Toy” aka “The Toy”). A 33ft Cold Water aluminum charter boat powered by 2, 300 Suzuki
motors. The Toy is a full walk around and has a comfortable cabin to sit in during travel, get out of the
weather or to just take a rest. We have a spacious head (bathroom), A microwave and a Yeti cooler to
keep your food and drinks cold. We are Coast Guard inspected and have all the safety gear required,
as well as additional equipment to ensure everyones enjoyment and safety.

Kodiak offers all 5 species of Salmon in the ocean and in the river system. We target King (Chinook)
and Silver (Coho) Salmon in the Ocean. Daily limits, in most areas of Kodiak, is 5 salmon of which 2
can be Kings and 2 can be Silver Salmon. We can and do keep Pink salmon as well and often smoke
them at the lodge with our customers. Halibut fishing is only limited on days (by law) we cannot
Charter for them. In 2023 in July and August ,Tuesdays and Wednesdays were “No Halibut days”.
Daily limits of Halibut are 2 per person, of which the second halibut must be 28” or less. Kodiak
offers a wonderful Ling Cod fishery. “Predators” has a reputation for catching BIG Ling Cod each
year. The daily limit is 2 Ling Cod per client. Ling Cod cannot be kept prior to July 1st. Kodiak offers
wonderful Sea Bass fishing, including Yellow Eye, China, Tigers, Quill Back and a variety of pelagic
Rock Fish. Daily limits for most of Kodiak is 3 rock fish of which 1 can be a Yellow Eye and 1 can be a
non-pelagic rock fish (China, Tiger, Quill back). Kodiak also offers the under appreciated Pacific Grey
Cod. This fish makes some of the best table fare for fish and chips in a crispy golden batter (Guests
will undoubtably be served some). There is currently no daily limit for Pacific Grey Cod in Kodiak. So
come join us as we troll, anchor, and drift our way to helping you fill your fish box with some of the
best fishing in the world.

Notes:
• Captain and Crew may not contribute to clients daily limits.
• Boat provides lodge lunch, snacks and non alcoholic drinks. Coffee is available until it runs out.
• Boat provides all fishing gear, bait and tackle. (guests can of course bring their favorite jig if they
like).
• Boat does have extra rain gear for guests but cannot guarantee sizes.
• Crew will fillet all fish out at sea. Fish will be brought back to lodge, skinned (not salmon),
processed, wrapped, vacuum sealed, labeled and frozen for customers.
• Clients fish will be boxed for transport (50# boxes) for luggage or if available through Alaska Airlines
Air Cargo. Clients are responsible for all costs associated with luggage and or air cargo
(processing and packaging of fish as well as fish boxes are included in package to clients).
• Fish will be placed in a stand up or chest freezer, boxed and stored in walk in chiller.
• Clients will need to provide their own fishing license (including King Salmon stamp).
• Clients may bring alcoholic beverages, however, we do ask that it be in plastic or cans and not
glass bottles. We also ask that you drink responsibly for your safety and enjoyment as well as
ours.
